I am a Florida native, born and raised in the small town of Lake Wales (about 2 hours east of Tampa), before relocating to the area of Tampa/Brandon, many years ago. You can see a small portion of my rather large family in the photo above.
I am an animal-lover like no other you will probably ever meet.... so much so that I have not eaten meat in 18 years, and recently became a vegan after I discovered how milking cows and egg-laying hens suffer within the factory farms -- just so that these large companies can increase their profit margins. (www.BanCruelFarms.org, www.meat.org). Long gone are the small, family farmers with large, open fields for grazing, exposure to sunlight, fresh air, and room to simply walk around. Now, these "factory farmers" have resorted to forcing farm animals to live in darkness, crammed in tiny cages/crates, preventing hens from even spreading their wings or nesting, while also inflicting pain/torture via pulling teeth and cutting off beaks w/o anesthetic, pigs unable to turn around, causing them to literally "go crazy". It is also not uncommon for broken bones to happen and go untreated, as well as animals being skinned alive. The sad fact is that these animals feel pain, just like you and I, and it is not right to do these things for the sake of profit -- nor to please one's appetite for flesh. If someone supports this treatment with their money by buying meat or dairy products from these factory farmers, THEY are guilty of animal abuse. I hope you will consider at least cutting back on your meat and dairy consumption... You could literally help end animal abuse one meal at a time.
I would like to give a special thank you to all Californians who voted yes for Propsition 2, which will put an end to so much of this torture/pain/suffering in CA! I only hope all other US states will follow their lead.
I have "lovingly" been called "The Crazy Cat Lady" on more than one occasion, and I'm okay with that!
I currently volunteer time to charitable organizations in the Tampa area, to include ACT (Animal Coalition of Tampa) by doing a small part in helping to control animal overpopulation through spaying/neutering and vaccinating of feral and stray cats. I am also on the Board of Directors for Cat Call, another non-profit in Hillsborough County who rescues/adopts out friendly/tame cats to qualified homes, while also strongly supporting spaying/neutering. I am also proud to be an active volunteer of an awesome group called FVA (Florida Voices for Animals), who are constantly working to fight ALL forms of animal cruelty... this group consists of vegetarians and vegans who do what they can to fight cruel treatment of animals... to include pets, circus animals, farm animals, animals used for fur and leather, etc.
I am blessed and therefore able to regularly donate to several animal welfare groups, to include: ASPCA, Tabby's Place, PAWS, Humane Society of the United States, PETA, No Kill Advocacy Center, Best Friends, Farm Sanctuary, Caboodle Ranch, and Alley Cat Allies.
Ok, now that I have made my stand on eating animals and animal cruelty crystal clear, I will get down to business... Before becoming a Realtor, like a lot of people, I had the idea that the majority of agents in the real estate business were lazy, just out to make a quick buck, and always looking for new ways to con people -- but I was wrong. There are actually many kind, hard-working, ethical, honest, skilled, and professional agents in the real estate business... and I am proud to now be a part of that group.
I promise to do what I can to make the buying, renting, and selling of your home as painless and hassle-free as possible because I understand there are much more important things in your life to deal with -- like family. Without the right help, buying, renting, and selling real estate can be very time-consuming, frustrating, confusing, and overwhelming. Yet, some people put more consideration into what they're going to have for dinner on any given day. I promise not to "hound" or push you, or behave in a dishonest manner. You will receive nothing less than ethical and respectful treatment from me.
I know your time is valuable, so I sincerely thank you for visiting my website. Please consider it as your online source for local real estate information, and return often for the latest updates.
P.S. I have posted the photos of my family, kitties, and myself to show you that I am a "real person" -- and probably a lot like you (plus, my nieces and nephews will get a kick out of seeing themselves on the Internet!) :-)
